Black Screen Mode

Protecting privacy during a remote access session is often crucial—especially when the remote computer is located in a public space or an open-plan office. The black screen feature lets you hide all activity on the remote computer so no one nearby can see what you’re doing.

What does it look like?

When the feature is enabled, the remote computer’s monitor displays a black screen with an explanatory message:

Can I change the message?

Yes. You can customize the text and logo in the branding settings. Learn more about branding in this guide.

How to enable it?

To allow this feature, you need to enable the Input Lock and Black Screen permission in the agent app:

Group settings

You can set this permission through group policies for linked devices in Permanent Access. See details in Group Management.

Apart from Black Screen Mode, there’s also a similar feature called Input Lock. It blocks mouse and keyboard input but doesn’t hide the screen.
